Hellooooooo, sorry for not blogging for a while but I've been away on holiday and it all got a bit manic when I got home..... but I still managed to fit in some crafting!

 Here are the pillow gifts I made for some girl friends who came to stay  for the weekend after I got back from holiday.

They only hold a couple of Green & Black chocolates but I was rather pleased with how they turned out and they gave me a great excuse to make some ribbon roses (which I adore making).

Unfortunately the colour's not great on the picture: the tag & the pillow box were cut from  the same olive green pearlescent card stock, although it doesn't look it on the photograph! 

I used classic oval Nesties to emboss and cut the labels, the pillow box was a SU die& the wide patterned ribbon was in my stash, as was the satin ribbon I used for the roses.

Ok, what else have I been up to.... well tags basically!  Here are some that I made last week.

All SU products: Rich Razzelberry card stock formed the base of each tag which I die cut using Nesties basic rectangles.  SU again for the Dec 25th label which was the SU Tags til Xmas stamp, punched out with the SU decorative label punch.   I matched up using Rich Razzelberry ribbon & SU papers for the rosettes and paper roses.  The bows were seam binding which was already in my stash and if you look carefully you can also see a couple of small laminated hearts, buttons and bling (where would I be without bling...lol).... again from my stash.

And finally the tags in place on the carriers I made to hold the pressies.  These I made using card stock from Hobbycraft (the only place I could find that had large enough sheets of card stock for the size of carriers I needed to make for each pressie) which I over stamped using the SU Baroque Borders in Versamark and finished off with the same Rich Razzleberry ribbon as the tags.

No wonder I have to start wrapping Xmas pressies early!  But it's great fun & I love this time of year.

Got myself on a bit of a roll making tags and ended up making these, working on a black and grey theme to compliment some boxes I made:

I was delighted with how they turned out.  As you can probably see there is a mix of SU products (the black card stock and the stamp for the 25th Dec.) but interspersed with organza & paper for the roses from my stash... as were the wee bits of bling that I attached to the black satin ribbon at the top of each tag. The bling came from a couple of bracelets I spotted & bought with the idea in mind of cutting them up for the bling rather than wearing them... it worked out cheaper than buying bling in my local craft shops.
